NTSOC was started by a parent with a special needs child in 2001 so parents can get their children Medicaid waivers and be trained to be paid CNAs while taking care of their families and their medically fragile child. NTSOC provides supportive services to special needs pediatric patients and their families. Governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, NTSOC serves families throughout El Paso, Fremont, Pueblo, and Teller counties.

NTSOC is a nonprofit organization providing the pediatric special needs community in southern Colorado with compassionate quality nursing-supervised home care, case management, and outpatient therapy.

Job Summary: Provides office support services for assigned function(s) in scheduling and staffing. Coordinates On-call CNA selection and scheduling of On-call, Emergency and Pool CNAs. Supports field staff to achieve the highest level of productivity by complying with orders and agency performance expectations while providing quality customer service to clients and staff. This is under the oversight of department director and assistant director of Clinical Services. The position may require after-hours or on-call schedule.

Essential Functions

  1.  Coordinating CNA and Respite On-call and emergency staff schedules.
  2.  Navigating Microsoft Excel and Word programs and answering phone calls regarding last-minute scheduling changes and questions from parents and employees.
  3.  Schedule staff visit frequencies in the electronic medical record based on orders.
  4. Maintain emergency CNA and Respite pool volume.
  5. Request additional emergency CNA, Respite and On-call CNA staff, as necessary, from Human Resources.
  6. Review and reconcile Emergency and On-call CNA and Respite employee timesheets and payroll reports to ensure accuracy for payroll and insurance billing.
  7. Ensure accuracy of all orders when compared to evaluations and prior to scheduling visit frequencies and shifts.
  8. Encourages cooperation and collaboration, motivates others, adheres to time frames, and responds appropriately to instructions and procedures.
  9. Performs other related job duties as required by the Director and Assistant Director of Clinical Services.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience: One (1) year staffing and/or scheduling experience preferably for acute care.

Licenses/Registrations: None for office employees in accordance with Agency policy.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong word processing, keyboarding, data entry and Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load.
  • Good detail oriented and judgment skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of the team.
  • Ability to calculate basic mathematical functions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to interact with others in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Must demonstrate outstanding communication, customer-focus, organization and problem solving skills, excellent judgment and a proactive manner.

Hourly wage: $17.00 an hour
